KAAS helps people create groups, track shared expenses, split balances, and record settlements. This Privacy Policy explains what information KAAS collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following information when you use KAAS:

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, phone number, Google sign-in details, and profile settings.
  • Group and expense information, such as group names, members, expense titles, amounts, balances, settlements, and invite details.
  • Contact information that you choose to add to a group, such as a member's name, phone number, email address, or contact image.
  • Device and app usage information, such as screen views, actions, app version, device type, and basic diagnostics, if analytics are enabled.
  • Local app data, such as your login session and saved preferences, stored on your device.

Contacts Permission

KAAS may ask for access to your device contacts so you can add people to groups more easily. Contact access is optional. We only use contacts you select for group member creation, and we do not sell your contacts.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create and manage your KAAS account.
  • Let you create groups, add members, track expenses, and settle balances.
  • Support invites and account/profile features.
  • Improve app reliability, performance, and user experience.
  • Detect, prevent, and troubleshoot abuse, errors, or security issues.

Analytics

KAAS may use analytics tools, such as PostHog, to understand how the app is used and to improve the product. Analytics may include events such as screen views or feature usage. We do not use analytics to sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services

KAAS may rely on third-party services to provide core functionality, including:

  • Google, for Google sign-in.
  • Hosting, database, and API infrastructure providers.
  • Email or notification providers, if used for login codes or account messages.
  • Analytics providers, if analytics are enabled.

These services may process information according to their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only when needed to:

  • Provide KAAS features and operate the service.

Children's Privacy

KAAS is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

  • Choose not to grant contacts permission.
  • Update profile information in the app.
  • Delete local app data by signing out or uninstalling the app.
  • Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your information.
