Data KAAS May Collect

Account and profile

Name, email address, phone number, Google sign-in details, and profile preferences.

Contacts

Names, phone numbers, and contact images from contacts you choose to select after granting contacts permission.

Group activity

Group names, member details, expense titles, amounts, balances, settlements, invite details, and activity timeline entries.

App activity and diagnostics

Screen views, feature usage, app lifecycle events, app version, device basics, and diagnostic information if analytics are enabled.

Local session data

Login session tokens and saved preferences stored on your device to keep you signed in and remember your settings.

How Data Is Used

  • Create and manage your KAAS account.
  • Let you create groups, add members, track shared expenses, view balances, and record settlements.
  • Let you select contacts for group member creation when you grant contacts permission.
  • Support Google sign-in, invites, profile updates, and secure authenticated API access.
  • Improve reliability, understand feature usage, troubleshoot errors, and protect the service from abuse.

Data Sharing

KAAS does not sell your personal information. Some information may be processed by trusted services that help KAAS run:

  • Google may process sign-in data when you use Google sign-in.
  • Hosting, database, API, email, and infrastructure providers may process data needed to operate KAAS.
  • Analytics providers, such as PostHog, may process app activity data if analytics are enabled.
  • Information may be disclosed if required by law or needed to protect users, KAAS, or others.

Contacts Permission

Contacts permission is optional. If you grant it, KAAS reads contacts so you can pick people to add to a group. KAAS uses only the contacts you select for group member creation and does not use your contacts for ads.

Data KAAS Does Not Collect or Sell

  • KAAS does not sell personal information.
  • KAAS does not use contacts for advertising.
  • KAAS does not enable analytics session replay.

Data Deletion

To request deletion of your account or personal information, visit the KAAS Account Deletion page or contact developer@kaaslive.com. We may retain limited information when required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
